FG Launches Diaspora Bridge Programme To Strengthen Ties Between Global Nigerian Experts And Domestic Institutions

The Diaspora Bridge Portal is an innovative digital platform developed to strengthen collaboration between Nigerian academics and professionals living abroad and higher education and research institutions within Nigeria. The platform creates opportunities for diaspora experts to register, showcase their qualifications, indicate their areas of specialisation, and participate in meaningful partnerships that support national development, particularly in education, research, innovation, and STEM-M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine).

The portal also allows universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and research institutes to identify institutional needs, express interest in collaboration, and connect with qualified professionals whose expertise aligns with their priorities. In addition, it offers a range of interactive features, including virtual seminars, e-learning resources, collaboration monitoring, and searchable directories of registered experts and participating institutions.

Through this initiative, the Federal Ministry seeks to strengthen connections between Nigerian institutions and the global academic community, promoting knowledge exchange, capacity building, and sustainable advancements in education, research, technology, and innovation.
