The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences Enugu (FUAHSE) was established on March 14 2024 with the mandate to improve on the healthcare needs of Nigerians and increase the manpower output in the sector. Its transformation from the former Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy witnessed rapid growth from a monotechnic to a university of six faculties and 17 Departments/programs.

FUAHSE has continued to produce skilled professionals who have contributed significantly to the nation’s healthcare system, offering specialized degrees courses, fostering research and innovation across various fields of allied health sciences. The University’s mandate is to train graduates who will fit seamlessly into the national healthcare team, become employers of labour and contribute significantly to national development. It focuses on practical education that gives students skills in their chosen fields while they also acquire additional entrepreneurial skills that gives graduates double certification and honour; a Bachelor’s Degree in their Allied Health Field and a professional Diploma in a chosen entrepreneurial venture, coupled with self-dignity, integrity and good moral standing.
